Prescription Drug Rehab, CO
Prescription drug misuse often begins innocently but can quickly become overwhelming, affecting health, relationships, and overall well-being. At Mile High Recovery Center, we offer comprehensive treatment in Denver designed to address the unique challenges of prescription medication addiction.
Our supportive, judgment-free environment allows clients to focus fully on healing. Through a blend of evidence-based therapies and holistic practices, we treat not only the body’s dependence but also the emotional and mental roots of addiction. Our mission is to guide each individual toward stability, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose, empowering them to thrive beyond substances.
Understanding Prescription Drug Addiction
Medications are introduced into someone’s life to bring relief, stability, or healing. Yet for some, these same treatments can gradually lead to powerful dependencies. Opioids, benzodiazepines, and stimulants are among the most common substances that cause misuse, often blurring the line between proper use and harmful reliance. Because these drugs come from trusted medical providers, many underestimate their risks until life feels unmanageable.
Addiction can take hold gradually, whether by increasing doses, using medications longer than prescribed, or seeking the emotional comfort they provide. Outwardly, individuals may still appear in control, further masking the severity.
At Mile High Recovery Center, we’ve seen clients reclaim their lives with professional, empathetic care. With a structured prescription drug rehab program, recovery from addiction is not only possible but sustainable.

How long is prescription drug addiction treatment?
Most residential stays run 20 to 30 days, and we recommend 30 or more when insurance allows. PHP and IOP extend care for weeks to months after that.
Do I need detox first?
Some prescriptions, especially benzos, should never be stopped abruptly. We plan a safe taper. Our admissions team will help you figure it out on the first call.
Does insurance cover prescription drug addiction treatment?
Usually, yes. We accept Colorado Medicaid and are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Tricare and MultiPlan.
Can my family be involved?
Yes. Family therapy and family groups are part of treatment, and loved ones can call admissions on your behalf.
