Understanding Methamphetamine Addiction
Methamphetamine is a highly addictive stimulant that can quickly take control of your life. It affects both the brain and body, often leading to dependence in a short amount of time. Because of this, breaking free from this addiction can feel incredibly difficult without the right support.
Unlike many other substances, meth use often causes sudden and serious harm to your health, relationships, and sense of self-worth. Many people find themselves trapped in a cycle of using and withdrawing, which can feel lonely and overwhelming. The stigma surrounding this drug can also make it hard to reach out for help.
The good news is that real change is possible. With professional addiction treatment, you can reclaim your life and find stability. At Mile High Recovery Center, we’ve helped many people overcome dependence and begin fresh, hopeful chapters in their lives.

Treatment
How We Treat Methamphetamine Addiction
Treatment for methamphetamine addiction at Mile High is built around you, not the substance. Your plan combines evidence-based therapy, medical care when needed, and a community that lasts after discharge.
Residential Treatment
12 beds and 24/7 staff. Most stays run 20 to 30 days.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Full-day programming five days a week.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Day or evening groups so you can keep working.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
Suboxone and Vivitrol for opioid and alcohol use disorders.
Dual Diagnosis Care
Anxiety, depression and trauma treated alongside substance use.
Alumni Program
Groups seven days a week, for good.
How long is methamphetamine addiction treatment?
Most residential stays run 20 to 30 days, and we recommend 30 or more when insurance allows. PHP and IOP extend care for weeks to months after that.
Do I need detox first?
The crash lasts days, and low mood can last weeks. Structured care makes that window safer. Our admissions team will help you figure it out on the first call.
Does insurance cover methamphetamine addiction treatment?
Usually, yes. We accept Colorado Medicaid and are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Tricare and MultiPlan.
Can my family be involved?
Yes. Family therapy and family groups are part of treatment, and loved ones can call admissions on your behalf.
